ATU Sligo Innovation Centre assists undergraduate and postgraduate students to explore and develop their ideas, learn how to think creatively, apply an innovative approach to problem-solving and identify new business opportunities.

We also collaborate closely with ATU academics and secondary school facilitators on student entrepreneurship programmes, events and competitions.

Student Entrepreneur Programmes

Student Inc.

Student Inc. encourages student entrepreneurs to assess the feasibility of their ideas and start a business in a safe and nurturing environment. Student Inc provides students with seed funding and access to a network of entrepreneurs, trainers, mentors and investors.

ATU and EI Student Entrepreneur Awards

Are you a third level student with a business idea that will blow our minds? If you have an idea with real commercial potential then the Student Entrepreneur Awards is the competition for you. It could be the first step on the way to being your own boss.

ATU i-Days competition promotes health innovation by introducing students to practical health innovation tools and compete in teams to tackle real-life health challenges.

The Foróige Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) for second level students is a youth entrepreneurship education & development programme. ATU Sligo Innovation Centre hosts and participates in judging the annual NFTE Regional Finals.
