Starting your own business with Deirdre McGettrick

On Feb 12th we welcomed students from ATU Bachelor of Business in Marketing, lecturer Lisa Dunne and guest lecturer Deirdre McGettrick

Students heard from Deirdre about starting her own business and the digital marketing strategy of the company, McGettrick launched Ufurnish.com with her co-founder and husband Ray Wright in 2019, and the online furniture aggregator now boasts over 100 of the biggest retailers.

Students also heard from ATU Sligo Innovation Centre Manager, Ceola McLynn, about the varied activities that take place in the centre from start-up companies to research led projects.
