Skills Development - Regional Skills Forum

Regional Skills North-West is located at the Innovation Centre and provide the opportunity for employers and the education and training system to work together to meet the emerging skills needs of the north-west. They will work with you to help you to adapt and grow your business by offering free and fast 1:1 advice on upskilling and training.

Mentoring

Entrepreneurs based at the Innovation Centre can avail of sector-specific mentoring, tailor-made to their requirements and stage of development. The Centre has a pool of mentors available to support projects as the need arises and can facilitate access to a vast network of external business leaders and influential stakeholders.

Access to ATU Expertise

ATU is committed to increasing levels of collaboration and partnership with industry. Our Contract Research UnitTechnology Gateways, PEM Centre and Strategic Research Centres provide expertise, guidance and specialist knowledge. Our client companies can also avail of student and graduate recruitment, internships or project-related opportunities.

Entrepreneurship Training - New Frontiers

New Frontiers is the national entrepreneur development programme supported by Enterprise Ireland and delivered in the north-west through the ATU. It is a three-phase programme designed to provide an integrated and comprehensive set of business development supports to participants. It is the ultimate support to help you develop your business idea into a successful start-up.

Events and Networking

The Centre runs regular events and workshops in collaboration with our local and regional partners to support our business tenants. The Centre is also targeting to become the student innovation hub; to fuel student creativity, ideas and advancement. We collaborate with our ATU academic partners to design, deliver and facilitate student entrepreneurship activities.

Funding Advice

Raising finance is an important part of developing your business. The Centre works in partnership with Enterprise Ireland and the Local Enterprise Offices and can assist with linking clients with available financial supports. Those seeking finance are assisted in preparing  investment pitches and business plans to secure funding.

Collaboration, rest and social spaces are placed throughout the Centre. Innovation Centre Staff and Businesses have access to our newly refurbished Hub with refreshment facilities.
